Avesta Welding has extended its product programme with AVESTA FCW LDX 2101-PW, a flux cored wire that has been especially developed for the positional welding of Outokumpu LDX 2101.
In many respects, duplex steel grades, with their universally recognised good corrosion and mechanical properties, are excellent replacements for austenitic stainless steels.
For use in a wide range of application areas (e.g. pulp and paper, construction, engineering, storage tanks, etc.), LDX 2101 is a duplex stainless steel developed as a high-strength alternative to 304L (1.4301).
To get the most out of the steel as regards properties and cost, Avesta Welding recommends the use of matching fillers when welding LDX 2101.
Avesta Welding is the first manufacturer in the world to offer a complete product programme that includes matching filler metals for LDX 2101. Covered electrodes (AVESTA LDX 2101), flux cored wires (AVESTA FCW-2D LDX 2101 and now also LDX 2101-PW) and solid wires (MIG, TIG and SAW) of various dimensions are now held in stock by Avesta Welding.
Avesta FCW 308L/MVR Cryo and 316L/SKR Cryo are two newly developed flux cored wires for low temperature applications
The processes of storing and transporting natural gases in liquid form place great demands on both parent and filler metals, which must have good mechanical properties at low temperatures. To meet the industry’s severe requirements, Avesta Welding has developed two flux cored wires: FCW 308L/MVR Cryo and FCW 316L/SKR Cryo.
